Mr. Tartaglione, Let me assure you that I have been personally involved in overseeing the efforts of County Government regarding the Hen Island issue. As you know the County may or may not have jurisdiction or limited jurisdiction over certain matters involving Hen Island. You also know that the County is working with the City of Rye regarding the problems and issues involving the Hen Island homeowners. It is always important to do a thorough investigation in order to determine what legal authority the county has as well as what are the best solutions to solving the problem. The County will do everything in its power to protect the health and safety of its residents especially when it comes to health and environmental problems in a expeditious manner.
